Privacy Policy

This policy explains what Retaincast — operated by Media Yard LLC ("we"), a New Jersey limited liability company — collects, and how it is used. The short version: we collect what the product needs to analyze, publish, and score your videos, we do not sell personal information, and you can disconnect or ask us to delete your data at any time.

1. What we collect

• Waitlist and contact data — your email address when you join the waitlist or write to us.
• Account data — once you have an account: your email address, plan, sign-in and session records (we store only hashed sign-in tokens), and the API keys you create (stored hashed).
• Platform connections — when you connect YouTube, TikTok, or Instagram, we store the OAuth tokens needed to act on your behalf, your channel/account identifiers, and the video IDs you publish through the Service.
• Content you submit — videos, scripts, titles, descriptions, and thumbnails you upload for analysis or publishing.
• Analytics from connected platforms — views, watch time, likes, comments, shares, and audience-retention curves for videos you published, pulled on a nightly schedule.
• Prediction records — the retention curves the Service predicted for your content and how they compared to the actual curves.
• Technical data — ordinary server logs (IP address, request time, user agent) kept briefly for security and debugging.

2. How we use it

• To operate the Service: analyze your content, publish where you direct, and show your analytics.
• To calibrate predictions for your account using your own predicted-vs-actual history.
• To improve prediction accuracy across the Service using aggregated, anonymized calibration statistics (per-checkpoint averages across all published videos — never titles, video IDs, or anything identifying you or your channel).
• To respond to support requests and send service emails (your early-access invite, sign-in links, and a welcome message). No advertising, and no selling of personal information.

3. YouTube API Services

Retaincast uses YouTube API Services to upload videos and read analytics for channels you connect. By using this part of the Service you agree to the YouTube Terms of Service, and the Google Privacy Policy applies to Google's handling of your data. We access and store: your channel identifier, OAuth tokens, the videos you upload through us, and analytics for those videos including audience-retention curves, refreshed nightly. You can revoke Retaincast's access at any time in your Google security settings; after revocation we stop pulling data, and you can ask us to delete what is stored by emailing support@retaincast.com.

4. Service providers

We use a small set of processors, only as needed to run the Service: Cloudflare (hosting, storage, and database), Resend (delivery of our service emails), Anthropic (AI analysis of content you submit for analysis), and the platforms you connect (Google/YouTube, TikTok, Meta/Instagram). We may also disclose information if the law requires it. Our Data Processing Addendum lists these subprocessors and our commitments as a processor.

5. Retention and deletion

We keep your data while your account is active or your waitlist entry stands. You can delete your account and its data yourself from Account in the app; or email support@retaincast.com to delete your account data, stored platform data, or waitlist entry, and we will do so within 30 days, except what we must keep for legal or security reasons. Disconnecting a platform invalidates its stored tokens.

6. Security

Data is encrypted in transit; tokens and stored data live in access-controlled Cloudflare infrastructure, and administrative access is key-gated. No system is perfectly secure, but we keep the surface small.

7. International users (EEA & UK)

If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, Media Yard LLC is the controller of your personal data. We rely on these legal bases: performance of a contract (operating the Service you signed up for), legitimate interests (securing the Service and improving prediction accuracy with aggregated, anonymized statistics), and consent (joining the waitlist, connecting a platform — withdrawable at any time). Your data is processed in the United States; where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, transfers rely on appropriate safeguards, including the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses and the UK Addendum, with our processors. You have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, portability, restriction, and objection — email support@retaincast.com to exercise them (we honor these requests regardless of where you live) — and the right to complain to your supervisory authority (in the UK, the ICO).

8. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

9. Changes

We may update this policy; the "Last updated" date will change, and material changes will be flagged on the site or by email.
