AI Policy
Last updated: October 19, 2026
Retaincast is built around AI analysis, so here is exactly how it is used, what happens to your content, and where the limits are. Operated by Media Yard LLC, New Jersey.
1. Where AI is used
- Analyzing cuts and scripts: sampled frames, transcript, pacing and loudness signals are assessed against a retention rubric to produce scores, a predicted retention curve, and recommended edits.
- Writing assistance: drafting and rewriting short-form scripts, and ranking title and thumbnail candidates.
- Calibration: comparing predicted and actual retention curves to correct future predictions — a statistical step, not model training.
2. Models and providers
Analysis runs on Anthropic's Claude models via API. Only the material needed for the task is sent — sampled frames, transcript excerpts, extracted signals, or the script text — and results come back as scores, curves, and reports stored in your account.
3. Your content is not training data
We do not train AI models on your content. Our provider processes API inputs and outputs to deliver the Service and, under its commercial API terms, does not use them to train its models. The cross-account "network priors" described in our Privacy Policy are aggregated, anonymized per-checkpoint statistics — averages of prediction error — never your content, titles, or identifiers, and never model training.
4. Human oversight
AI outputs in Retaincast are recommendations. Nothing is published, edited, or deleted by AI on its own: you choose what to change and when to publish. Review AI-drafted scripts and suggested edits before using them.
5. Accuracy and limits
Predictions are estimates with a measured error rate, which we show you openly (predicted-vs-actual, per video, in points). They can be wrong, especially for channels with little calibration history, and they are not promises of performance or revenue.
6. Your responsibilities
You are responsible for content you publish, including AI-assisted drafts — for its accuracy, its rights, and any AI-disclosure requirements of the platform you publish to (for example, YouTube's synthetic-content disclosure rules, where applicable).
7. Regulatory note (EU)
Retaincast provides creative and analytical assistance to content creators. It is not intended for, and must not be used as, a system in any high-risk category under the EU AI Act (such as employment, credit, or law-enforcement decisions). Questions about our classification or practices: support@retaincast.com.
8. Changes and contact
We may update this policy as the Service and the law evolve; the "Last updated" date will change. Media Yard LLC, New Jersey, USA — support@retaincast.com
